Luisa Abram Dark Chocolate Covered Cupuaçu Fruit

Unlike money, chocolate really does grow on trees. Chocolatier Luisa Abram partners with local Brazilian communities to find and harvest wild cacao that grows along the lush banks of the rivers in the Amazon rainforest. These native cacao trees have been untouched by humans and capture the essence of Brazilian terroir. Luisa uses this one of a kind cacao to create exceptionally flavored chocolate, including this fruity 70% dark chocolate that enrobes pieces of cupuaçu (coo-pu-wah-soo), a fruit that's a relative of cacao—and the national fruit of Brazil.

Each chocolate covered cupuaçu is about the size of a chocolate covered raisin. Pop one in your mouth and it bursts with a tart, tropical flavor like pineapple and a chewy, gummy texture. They’re perfect for the foodie who loves rare food finds or for any fan of high quality chocolate.
