Fig Salami with Pistachio and Cinnamon

What we have here is the perfect participant to any cheese tray as well as a heckuva nice snack anytime of day. What we DON’T have here is something made with meat—even though it has “salami” in the name. That’s just describing what it looks like, not what’s inside! Made from dried figs, pistachios and a dose of cinnamon, this stick is vegan-friendly, all-natural, and delicious. It has a brightness that pairs perfectly with cheeses like Comté or cheddar as well as softer, fresher goat cheeses. Folks will do a bit of a double take when they first see it sliced into coins on a cheeseboard, but it won’t be long before they’re giving it a try (and falling for it like I did).
