Tinned Small Scallops in Caldeirada Sauce

We’ve never carried tinned scallops before so we fish lovers are stoked about our latest fare.

Unlike the large, meaty scallops you find in restaurants, these scallops are small—about the size of a quarter—but still sweet and succulent and smooth. They come packed in a rich tomato sauce inspired by the Portuguese fish stew caldeirada, with a slight spicy kick (but it doesn’t overwhelm the scallops).

I enjoy mine with crusty bread like a baguette. Or you can mix the whole tin with a bowl of warm pasta for an easy dinner.
