Here’s a kid-and-parent project kit that’s: a) not too difficult to do, b) pretty easy to get a good result, and c) bonus, the kids actually want to eat what they make! Naturally flavored gummies, made in half an afternoon, gobbled in minutes. Tested by hand in Mo’s house to universal kid acclaim. It’s a lot of fun.
The ingredients are just gelatin, elderberry, and maple syrup. The kit also includes molds for the gummies and instructions to make the candy. Makes a couple batches of 15, and then you can probably figure out a hack to keep it going even longer (the elderberry will last for many more runs).
