Potato Kugel

This is the food equivalent of a Jewish grandma’s enveloping hug—the kind that you never want to end.

Unlike sweet noodle kugel, potato kugel is savory and eats like a meal. Made simply from egg, shredded potatoes, matzo meal, onions, and a little chicken schmaltz to make it rich, potato kugel hits all the comfort notes and a bunch of flavor notes, too. Spiced simply with salt and good pepper, a warmed up slice of potato kugel is like the best parts of a twice-baked potato: luscious, soft, smooth, a little savory.

The kugel is fully cooked, and ships frozen. It comes with heating instructions for maximum deliciousness.
