Bonajuto Chocolates Bonajuto Chocolates

Bonajuto chocolates is the oldest chocolate maker in Sicily, having occupied a small marble building in the Baroque town of Modica since 1880. While most chocolatiers have long-since adopted modern chocolate innovations, making their bars smooth and sweet, Bonajuto has stayed true to its 19th Century roots. Their chocolate is still a bit gritty, a remnant of when the cacao was ground by hand and the sugar crystals kept their texture. We were the first to import Bonajuto to the United States. Today we’re happy to be the de facto U.S. source for this ancient sweet; we offer nearly everything Pierpaolo and his crew make.
