Colston Bassett Stilton Cheese Pairing Gift Set

Stilton has been the traditional Christmas cheese of England for centuries. Its deep, warm flavor fits right into the chill of December. Early winter also happens to be the time of the year it tastes best, the lush summer milk cheeses having ripened for half a year or so.

This fall we’ve brought in our usual stock of forty-five wheels from Neal’s Yard Dairy, London’s great cheese house. They have driven up the M-11 to Colston Bassett to select wheels that have the buttery blue flavor and coveted spreadable texture we all crave.

We’ll hand cut a one-pound wedge for you in our cheese room in Ann Arbor and pair it with spiced plum preserves from Blake Hill Farm in Vermont and caramelized walnuts from France’s walnut-crazy Périgord region, then pack them all up in our cartoon gift box. It’s a gift any blue cheese lover will appreciate.
