Round Raisin Challah Bread

Each fall Zingerman’s Bakehouse releases special limited edition challahs made. Each round, turban shaped challah is shaped by hand, arriving wrapped in plastic and paper. They’re gorgeous, the color of toasted saffron, and the flavors are rich and sweet.

To make the bread even richer, we take our classic challah dough already redolent with eggs and Michigan honey and we add a generous portion of extra-large Red Flame raisins and golden raisins soaked in Myers Dark Rum®.

Looking for other challahs? Just for Rosh Hashanah, we also offer a plain turban-shaped challah, and a spiced Moroccan-style challah (both made without any raisins).
