Braided Moroccan Challah Bread

Each fall Zingerman’s Bakehouse releases special limited edition challahs. Each loaf is baked to order by hand, arriving wrapped in plastic and paper. They’re gorgeous, the color of toasted saffron, and the flavors are rich and sweet.

This Moroccan style challah is a beautiful five-strand braid. The top is brushed with honey and sprinkled with poppy seeds, anise, and sesame seeds.
