For flavor inspiration for this coffee cake, we took our cues from the Indian subcontinent and devised a recipe that's imbued with the exotic flavors and aromas of the region. The cake starts with organic flour and lots of sweet butter that gets a slightly spicy kick from the addition of cardamom, ginger, and clove. Finally it's topped with a butter crumble topping with pistachios and coconut. The result is a moist, sweet, exotic and warmly spicy coffee cake to make your mornings (or afternoons, or midnight snacks) more interesting.
The cake is our classic Nosher size (serves 5-7). It comes gift boxed either in our wooden cheese crate or our fun, cartoon cardboard gift box.
