This is probably the most underrated baked good we make. The secret sunrise snack of Zingerman’s regulars who happily bypass bagels and muffins for a slice. It’s made with fresh lemon juice, real lemon oil, loads of real butter, real vanilla and a veritable passel of Dutch poppy seeds. With none of the artificial aftertaste that most lemon-flavored pastries have, it tastes like biting into a perfect morning: sunny, rich, delicious. Both sizes are packaged with tissue in the wooden ZingCrate. Nosher serves 5-7 folks, the Fresser can handle 10-12.
