Fondant frosting makes a gorgeous cake. It shapes like potter’s clay and holds color like a fresco. All those tilting, day-glo cakes you see that are so alluring—all fondant. Unfortunately, most often, the cake’s engineering stops at decoration. Underneath the fondant, the meat of many cakes, so to speak, is bland and pointless.

That’s not the case here. Three layers of our popular carrot cake—loads of carrots and freshly milled local Michigan flour—come layered with silky buttercream frosting, then covered in our handmade vanilla fondant frosting. The top is decorated with the visage of an adorable floppy eared bunny. Its cute pink nose twinkles its approval, ready to be sliced and distributed to fans of carrot cake country-wide.

This handmade cake's ingredients are carrots, butter, organic whole wheat flour, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, canola oil, Madagascar vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, sea salt, and fondant.
