Cheesecake already has a reputation for being an indulgent treat, but the latest innovation from Zingerman's Bakehouse is on a whole other level.
They start with hand-ladled cream cheese made next door at Zingerman's Creamery, the same base as they use for their classic cheesecake. Then they swirl in a mix of dark chocolate and real vanilla. Then they the mix in chunks of halvah for a punch of texture and flavor. As the cake bakes, the halvah melds into the texture, creating nutty, toasty halvah ribbons winding through the cake.
And oh yeah, they gave it a brownie crumb crust just for good measure.
Surely you know someone who's earned this type of indulgence. Perhaps it's you.
