We love the chocolates coming from Askinosie, a great American bean-to-bar chocolate company in the utterly unlikely location of Springfield, Missouri.
They've spent the years sourcing the best cacao beans from around the world. The beans used for this bar come from the Tenende plantation in Tanzania. The chocolate is rather mild for something so dark (72%). It's smooth, with hints of dried cherry and some earthy notes.
The result of Shawn's work—in eye-catching packaging—is astounding. Great for any level of chocolate lover.
