On the surface this looks like an oversized chocolate bar. But its not. There is danger lurking beneath the wrapper.

Like a circle of hell, the Barre Infernale is filled with all kinds of sin. It takes the form of crème de noisette, a blend of hazelnuts, almonds and chocolate akin to Italy’s famed gianduja.

Texture-wise, it’s a tad softer than fudge. Flavor-wise, it’s a bombshell. This bar is impossible to eat in one sitting, but you wouldn’t want to down it that fast anyway. Slice off a few smooth pieces after dinner or when you’ve accomplished something extraordinary. Perhaps when you finish the Inferno?
