Zingerman's Deli opened March 15th, 1982. That makes this year our 30th anniversary!
Allen Leibowitz, head roaster at Zingerman's Coffee Company remembers the coffee we sold back in those early days. He pays homage to the flavor of the 80s by blending Papau New Guinea with a bit of Guatemala A'achimbal. It's a big, full bodied, earthy coffee with sweet nutty notes and a bright finish.
Coffee this good was certainly a rarity when we first opened, but thanks to folks like Allen we're all drinking better brews.
