Nearly thirty years ago Monique Deschaine had a chance meeting with author and Italian food expert Marcella Hazan. The meeting inspired the birth of a thriving little company she runs with her husband, Denny.

Al Dente Pasta is a delicate, Northern Italian style pasta. Unlike extruded pastas like Martelli and Rustichella, which are hardy, thick and rustic, Al Dente pasta is sheeted and cut by hand, making it more delicate. Made with the best durum and semolina flour and fresh eggs, Al Dente noodles are light on the tongue, cooking up in just two or three minutes. How’s that for fast food?
